Plain-English glossary

Quick definitions for Marketplace Lister — no technical jargon.

Dealer key / posting key (liq_)
The secret code your manager gives you so the extension knows who you are and which dealership inventory to show. It always starts with liq_. Treat it like a password — don’t screenshot it or share it.
Save (connects the key)
In the extension Settings, after you paste your liq_ key, click Save. That connects the key so inventory can load. Until you Save, you’re not signed in for posting.
Rooftop (store)
One physical dealership location. If your group has several stores, use the Store picker so you only see vehicles for the rooftop you’re listing for.
Dry-run
Practice mode. The extension fills the Facebook Marketplace form and photos so you can review them, but it does not publish. Dry-run is on by default — turn it off only when you’re ready to post for real.
Side panel
The ListedIQ window that opens beside Chrome when you click the Marketplace Lister icon. Keep a Facebook tab open, then use the side panel for inventory, Settings, and dry-run / post.
Invite
An email (or backup link) from your manager that lets you join the dealership account. Open the link, sign in with the invited email, then accept. After that, your manager can issue your personal posting key.
Owner / manager console
The web pages at listediq.com/app where an account owner or sales manager invites people, issues posting keys, and manages the team. Salespeople mainly use the Chrome side panel, not this console.
Owner setup (first-time)
The one-time step where the first account owner signs in and connects the dealership group so invites and keys can be created. Your manager or ListedIQ support walks you through it if you’re new.
